Getting the results out of your adwords campaign is always a tough nut to crack, unless you’ve a practice of cracking a nut in one shot. Isn’t it? Well, yes it is. To get effective and efficient results from adwords campaigns you need to have a deep knowledge of Google AdWords functionality with a pretty good experience. Although I’m not one of those adwords expert, but I’ve something which can improve your ads, results and consequently your revenue – “Ad Extension” and which I call a “Sure Shot” from Google AdWords. Let’s have a look, what is Ad Extension exactly? Ad extensions are a type of ad format that display extra business information with your ad, (‘extending’ from your text ads) like an address, phone number, store ratings or more webpage links. Some can be added manually by you and others are automated. Improved Visibility: Ad extensions tend to improve your ad’s visibility. They often come above the search results, rather than along the side bar. If two competing ads have the same bid and the quality, the ad with greater expected impact from extensions will generally appear in a higher ad position than the other. Better return on investment: Extensions can help improve the click through rate (CTR) of your ads. More clicks mean more customer traffic. Types of ad extensions
- App Extensions – Show a link below your ad text that sends people to the App store or begins downloading your app.
- Call Extensions – Let people click a button to give you a phone call.
Consumer Ratings Annotations – Show off what customers appreciate with high-quality survey data.
- Location Extensions – Help people nearby find your nearest storefront or give you a call.
Previous visit Annotations – Show people if they’ve clicked through to your website from Google search results before.
- Review Extensions – Showcase positive, third-party reviews from reputable sources.
Seller Rating Annotations – Show your online business ratings with your ad.
- Sitelink Extensions – Add links to help people find what they are looking for.
Dynamic Sitelink Extensions – Add dynamically generated site links to help people find more relevant pages on your site.
- Social Annotations – Show how many Google+ followers you have.
A Recently added AdWords feature- Callout Extensions Highlights key Information about your products & services. Add descriptive text to your ad to help people learn more about what you have to offer. The Goal of callouts is to show valuable information to potential customers before they click your ad. Callouts will also be a factor in Ad Rank. Google suggests using them to draw attention to important product details, or highlights what makes your business different from your competitors. Did you find this article fruitful? Let’s know
